“Give your body the best conditions to heal itself”

As part of our strategy for survival, I wanted to learn as much about cancer, potential causes and cures as I could, so I started researching. However, it was a bit disheartening when I started by typing in ‘cures for cancer’ into a search engine, only for it to produce 13 million sites !

Luckily, there are many repeating or similar themes and a lot of ideas which were so far fetched that I didn’t bother with. As I ploughed through the volumes of internet material, my wife did an open university course on nutrition. She was already an excellent cook and has an MBA and combining her expertise she has produced the ‘ food’ element of this site which I believe is the essence and major part.

Our bodies are like machines and if you feed in rubbish they will eventually get clogged up and problems will occur. If we can eliminate toxins from our bodies and only consume healthy food, our immune systems can perform their function of keeping diseases away.

Fundamentals of healthy living >>>

“The body is like a car. If you put in low-grade fuel you will get a poor performance and over a period of time, problems will occur due to a build up of toxins and junk overload”.

Listen to your body

Our bodies offer our best protection and repair kit for maintaining health and we should take responsibility for our own health by listening to what they are telling us.

We know that it is bad to over indulge in poor quality food, have too much alcohol, smoke, and have a lack of exercise – we are free to choose to ignore the ‘internal’ warnings, however we are not always aware of the consequences. We get cravings for certain foodstuffs which can also indicate vitamin deficiencies.

Reduce Toxins

We continuously take in toxins – our lifestyles dictate just how many

  • Stress
  • Bad eating habits
  • Living/ working in poor air environments
  • Heavy traffic
  • Pesticide grown vegetables and fruits
  • Heavy chemical medication
  • Lack of exercise
  • Sugars, caffeine, alcohol
  • Drugs (prescription and recreational)
  • Smoking

Common sense

There is a lot of conflicting or unclear messages on health and we can’t always believe what we are told but we can usually be guided by common sense. For example, in the 1950′s the Government informed us that smoking was OK and more recently it tells us that there is no health risk from mobile phones. It is now recognised that smoking is cancer-causing, and common sense tells us that it cant be good to hold a strong electrical device such as a phone, close to our brain or in our pockets where it is close to other organs. ………..time will tell

Natural remedies

When sick, we should explore natural cures first. For example, in most cases, a high temperature is a natural device used by the body to kill off germs and bacteria and a runny nose a natural detox. Instead there is a general over use of antibiotics which only suppresses the symptoms, only to return within a few weeks.

Prevention

Stay fit through having a better understanding of our own bodies’ nutritional requirements. By making some small adjustments to our lifestyles the odds start stacking up in favour of a healthy existence.

A blood test can reveal any deficiencies in the body’s nutritional balance and a live blood test can show the state and effectiveness of our blood and immune system.
