As well as fighting disease and infections, our immune system is responsible for repairing and keeping our bodies clear of toxins however, over time our bodies accumulate toxins, which we need to eliminate.
Detoxification assists the body’s immune system by freeing-up some of its ‘cleaning-up’ workload and allowing it to concentrate on fighting disease.
The body naturally uses four methods of detoxification
The simplest form of detoxification is drinking plenty of water and we should each drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day.
I started with a full detoxification program to clear out my body ( the Euiji program) and then a Gall bladder flush which is powerful, relatively simple to administer and over within 24 hours (see Gall bladder flush) and I regularly take an Epsom bath or have a sauna. (See Epsom salt bath).
To date I have not tried colonic irrigation or colonic therapies but they claim to remove accumulated parasites or pathogenic gut flora
Another easy to do action is a self-lymph drainage massage – check out:
This is my favourite detox mostly because it simply involves taking a hot bath.
The skin is the body’s largest detox organ and can be an invaluable route to release toxicity, especially if the other detox organs are compromised.
Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) have the effect of drawing out toxicity and acidity (especially uric acid). Bathing in a high solution of Epsom salts draws toxicity from within the body, out through the skin and into the solution. The bath heats up the body, opening up cell membranes to release toxicity and also thinning the lymph, enabling it to help with the extra workload as blood is encouraged to the skin surface.
METHOD – Buy 1-2 kg of Epsom Salts (£2 – £6 from a local pharmacy) and at bedtime run a hot bath and mix in around 2 cups of salts. Lie in the bath for 15 – 30 minutes and then dry off and go to bed…..its that simple!
This is a serious detox program, which I was advised to go on to eliminate the effects of chemotherapy and generally rid my system of toxins.
The four week detox course is pretty straight forward and gets more intense, week on week, as food is restricted. It was comforting that the changes to the body, were accurately predicted in the documentation.
The Ejuva Intestinal Cleansing program is formulated specifically for the detoxification of the intestines, blood, organs, and tissues cells, while improving elimination and general well being. Since every human being has unique health requirements, the program has been designed in 4 stages, each lasting approximately one week. You choose which level is most appropriate for your cleansing needs. In each phase, Ejuva herbs and shakes are ingested.
This is the initial phase that prepares the body for deep cleansing. First time cleansers, toxic individuals, meat eaters, those with chronic diseases or physical problems start here. Even at this stage, old fecal and mucoid matter is expelled from the body. Three meals may be eaten per day.
Two meals may be eaten per day, which still supports cleansing.
One meal may be eaten per day, allowing for deep cleansing. Many people elect to end their cleanse here.
This is the most potent phase of the Ejuva Intestinal Cleansing program. No food is eaten during this phase, which allows for maximum cleansing and detoxification.
My grandfather used to take a glass of Epsom salts (aka liver salts) once a week to keep his liver fully functional. The liver has a vital role in the body, it produces around 3 pints of bile per day to metabolise fats and cholesterol.
Cleaning the liver bile ducts is one of the powerful procedures that you can do to improve your body’s health. A clean gall bladder can lead to higher energy levels, alleviation of allergies, flatulence, digestive problems, back pains and more.
On the day of the cleanse:
A few days after the cleanse, stones from the rear of the liver will have traveled “forward” towards the main bile ducts leaving the liver, and fill the gall bladder again! This is why it is sometimes necessary to do up to 6 cleanses (perhaps one each month) in order to get rid of all the stones. If a cleanse produces no more stones, your liver can be considered to be in excellent condition!
